Raw packing beans? I would like to get your thoughts on raw pack pinto bean and ham soup. I read all the info on beans that says to pre cook beans for 2 minutes than let set for 1 hour. But i have seen videos on raw pack beans after washing them. My wife and I would like your take on it. A video on raw pack beans would be geat also. Thanks

  3. I leave the 1 inch headroom on my beans and meat jars, remove bubbles, monitor pressure and time, let it go to zero pressure and cool, but some of the jars lose another inch or more of water. Do you have any idea why? Is it safe to eat?
