Hillbilly PASSIVE SOLAR HEATER for Pressure Tank

Extreme temperatures the last couple of weeks left us with a broken pressure tank and no running water for over 12 days. With more freezing temps on the way, we attempt to makeshift a passive solar heater for our off-grid pressure tank. Hillbilly engineering at its finest! Will it work…?!

*NO…we can’t just put in a light bulb or leave our water running

  1. Sir, I commend you on your quick thing.I to ran into that problem 35 years ago.I just used trees and made a teepee over the whole thing.one layer of plastic, then insulation all around then another layer of plastic.JUST make sure you put lots of rocks around bottom.just used what I had.Good health to you and your family
